Maggie was my gr grandmother. Rites Held For Mrs. Kline Services were held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Latter Day Saints Church for Mrs. Margaret D. Kline, who passed away Sunday at Hand Community Hospital. Clergymen R. E. Pratt and Morrell Cottew conducted the rites. Music was furnished by Mrs. G. O. Martin and Mrs. Bud Revell, with Mrs. John Topham, accompanist. Songs were, “Rock of Ages,” “How Gentle God’s Commands” and “There’s an Old Old Path.” Pallbearers were John Topham, Charlie Martin, Leslie Hein, Carl Benedict, Russell Benedict and Ed Egenberger. Mrs. R.. E. Pratt and Mrs. Leslie Hein were in charge of flowers. Interment was in Lamoni, Iowa. Margaret D. Knapp was born June 30, 1867 at Wheelers Grove, Ia., and passed away Sept. 7, 1952 at the Hand Community Hospital in Shenandoah, Ia., following an illness of six weeks. At the age of 17 she became a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to which faith she remained faithful to the end. In 1887 she was united in marriage to Samuel Kline. To this union, nine children were born. Two sons, Myron and Orville, and her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are Mrs. Hazel Mrasek, Plattsmouth, Neb., Harry Kline, Lockport, Ill., Earl Kline, Plattsmouth, Neb., Mrs. Mabel Baughman, Lincoln, Ill., Mrs. A. M. Taylor of Shenandoah, Mrs. Clarence Dreadin, Crossville, Alabama, and Mrs. W. P. Cochran of Bethany, Mo. Also surviving are 33 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Kline had been a resident of Lamoni, Ia., for 35 years. She had made her home the last three years with her daughter, Mrs. A. M. Taylor at Shenandoah. Those attending from out of town were Mrs. Hazel Mrasek, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kline, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Egenberger, all of Plattsmouth, Neb., Mrs. Mabel Baughman of Lincoln, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Milo Johnson and daughter of Galesburg, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Kline of Lockport, Ill., Mrs. Ruth Yechont of Omaha, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Dreadin of Crossville, Alabama, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cochran and son of Bethany, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Meyers of Stanton, Oa., Mr. and Mrs. Orville Gardner of Farragut and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Geyer of Hamburg, Ia.
