I too have a John Kline from Pa to Tuscarawas/Holmes Counties. I initially did not respond to your posting because he is clearly not your John Kline. I have not been able to find his origin in Pa either. As I have searced records in this part of Ohio, I recall reading information about a John Kline in Tuscarawas County, but do not recall where. I have tried to find a reference but hav not been able to do so.
I have responded to your posting in hopes that you may know if and how these John Klines are related. The following was posted on Ancestry.com, Feb. 4, 2003.
Looking for information on John and Michael Kline who came from Pa to Holmes Co., Ohio in 1810 to 1820. The relationship between John and Michael is not known but, assumed to be brothers. John md Margaret Slater (?) and may have had children Jacob (abt 1815), Mary (22 Feb 1817), Sarah (abt 29 Jun 1819), John (Jr. 23 Apr 1824), Jonas (16 Apr 1828), Elizabeth (22 Jan 1832), David (3 Oct 1835) and Barbara (22 Mar ? ) John and Margaret may have been divorced. Both are buried in the old Farmerstown Cemetery, Farmerstown, Holmes Co., Ohio.
I am descended through the daughter Sarah Kline who md Samuel Baker of Pa. in Holmes Co. They had Mary Ann (18 Oct 1840, md Philip Schafer and had Henry, Sarah Elizabeth, Rosa Ellen, Charlotte, and John Albert), John S (20 May 1842), David (abt 1844) and Francis (abt 1846)
John Kline Jr. served as executor for both his father's estate and Michael Kline. He Md Rose Anna Boyer of Penn in Ohio. They had: William (1849), Martha Ellen (1851), Jonathan (1853), Samuel (1855), Edward (1856), John Calvin (1859), Catherine Coryanna ((1861), and Simon Lewis (1863).
Other children of John Kline Sr.: Jacob md Barbara; Mary md Isaac Weaver and had John; Elizabeth md Jacob Weatherwax and had Edgar L, and Morro L; David md Catherine and had Catherine, Susannah and Melinda; and Barbara md Nicholas Ramsberger.
