John Kline from Pa to Tuscarawas County, Oh 1807
Posted by: jacquelyn roberts (ID *****9569) Date: January 11, 2006 at 12:50:52
  of 1907

In the History of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, it says "John Kline of Westmoreland County, Penn...entered the county in the fall of 1807, build a cabin and made a little clearing, then brought his family in the spring of 1808." His wife's name was not listed but his children were; Elizabeth, born in 1787, Henry, John, Jacob, Philip, Eve, Catherine, Daniel, Hannah and Margaret. Some of the children were born in Ohio, I believe. In his will he leaves his house & acreage to his wife, Mary. This may be a second wife. I would like to know when he came to Pa and from where. I have heard Baden, Germany, but have no proof.
