BERGMAN -Helen Bergman passed away at the age of 99 on March 14, 2005 at the Spruce Manor Special Care Home in Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph Bergman and her sister Neta Kliewer. Helen is remembered by her daughter Edith (George) Riekman, Glenn, Bruce, Mark and Brian; her daughter Helga (Victor) Suderman, Lynne, Wayne and Cindy and her son Victor (Vicki Ferguson) Bergman, Del and Terri. Helen was born December 19, 1905 in Friesental, South Russia to Johann and Sara Kliewer. In 1924, having previously lost their parents, Helen and her two sisters emigrated to Canada. After marrying Rudolph Bergman on July 16, 1931 the couple built their lives together and raised their three children on a farm near Elbow, Saskatchewan. After losing Rudy in 1976, Helen bought a house in Saskatoon, where she lived for 20 years. In 1996, of necessity, she relocated to the Bethany Manor assisted living units and made a final move to Spruce Manor in 2001.The funeral service will be held Friday, March 18 10:30 am at Nutana Park Mennonite Church, 1701 Ruth St., Saskatoon. Interment will commence at 2:30 pm at the Elbow Cemetery.
