I believe I have found Andreas on the Shiplist of the Bark Jubilaum that sailed from Bremen, Germanay to New York and arrived 06 May 1857. The ships passenger list has Andreas Kley, age 29 (which is very close to his actual age) occupation a coachman. It lists his home as Weilar and that he was headed to New York. The 1900 St Louis County Census gave me the year 1857 as his year of immigration, so I feel this is correct. Weilar is a small village in the German state of Thüringen near Bad Salzungen. I wonder where church records for these two places might be.
