Starting reaserch on the Klemke family

Hello, Aubrey Koecher,
He had quite a lot of children; 12. Please read all of the messages posted here. You will learn quite a lot about him. His line is well-researched and if you live in Nebraska, you will find quite a lot, I'm sure.
He is the younger half-brother of my great-grandfather, Emil Herman and an older brother, Constantine. The 3 shared the same father, August Ludwig KLEMKE.
These three brothers were born in Zaeckerick, Kreis Koenigsberg in the Neumark, Brandenburg, Prussia. Their father was born in Alt Ruednitz, Kreis Koenigsberg/Nm, Brandenburg, Prussia. These towns are right along the eastern bank of the Oder River. They are now in Poland as of 1945 when the war's end changed borders and the German inhabitants were forced to leave to the west side of the Oder and spread out. These 2 towns are now called, Siekierki and Stara Rudnica. They are on any good German/ Polish map.
But, your line is well-documented in the US and you should have no trouble in finding information on the descendants of August Theodore and his wife, Anna (Beck).
But, please read the rest of the messages as some of them pertain to your research. Please direct your questions when possible directly under the thread so we can try to keep the forum organized. There are several separate KLEMKE lines being discussed and many are from east of the Oder River in a common area.
Now, the problem is in finding the ancestors previous to August Ludwig as most of the records were destroyed in WWII.
Best of luck!
Your "cousin,"
Amy (Klemke) Uehara
