my g-g grandfather was Heinrich (Henry) Kleinow b. in Prussia /Germany c. 1840. He had emmigrated to the USA>Illinois by 1862. He had a son John , born in Chicago in 1862. John wed Sophia Kuchenmeister b. 1863 in Prussia/Germany, she emmigrated to the USA c 1880. They had 2 sons, Ernest b 1886 in Chicago and Henry Carl Martin Kleinow b 10/02/1888 in Chicago. Henry married Elsie Roemer in 1911. She was born in Orland,Il in 1889 to Christian Roemer Jr. born 1862 in Orland, Il. She died 1929 in Chicago. Her mother was Jennie Baumgardner, born in Orland c 1866, and she died in Orland c 1903. Christian died in Orland c 1938, his father died c, 1920. We don't know the name of Christian Sr's wife. John Kleinow died in 1923, due to a brain infection from a fall at the railroad yard where in worked in Chicago. Sophie died in Chicago in 1930 due to a stroke. Ernest's family is private due to over 40 decendants, many of them minor children, Henry died in 1966 and Ernest died in 1969. Henry's family is private due to minor children. The wife of Henry kleinow (b. c. 1840) is a mystery. She was born in Europe, c. 1830-1840, probably Gemany. She was known as "Mudding". She died in Chicago about 1925. No one knows her name or anything about her, except that people liked her and she was tiny. Perhaps, "Mudding's" husband Henry had brothers, one of which was the grandfather of John Kleinow b, 1891. Look in Cook County, IL records. Good Luck!! "Nellie Nevada"
