I have just started this search for my mother-in-law and have very little to information. I'm putting out "feelers".
She was adopted from an orphanage in Giesen, Germany in 1948 by an American GI stationed in Heidelberg. She was a few months old. Her German birth certicate lists her mother's name as Dorothea Klein, catholic. No name for her father. No other details.
We are hoping someone may be able to help us connect.
