Joseph Kittrell was born abt 1768 in Craven Conty,N. C. he married Rachel Moore on Aug 4, 1791 in Craven Co. Jethro Kittrell serd as the bondsman. He is listed onthe 1790 census for Craven Co. He had no children in 1790. He is listed on the 1800 and 1810 census for Kershaw County, S. C. He died in 1839, see Jefferson County Will Book 4, p. 87 and Index to Early Tennessee Wills and Administrations, p. 208. He is buried in the Kittrel Family cemetery in Jefferson Co, Tennessee. His father was Jonathan Kittrell ( a son of John Kittrell, Sr.) who married Deliverance Cox, daughter o Joseph Cox and Rosanna Weeks.
