Our DAVIS family Bible showed my great aunt Chevis DAVIS marrying someone by the name of Luther KITE, which they also spelled KYTE, in Erwin, Unicoi County, TN. I never have been able to find any more info on him, other than that he had the nickname, "Jack."
Now, I've found them in the 1930 census in Unicoi Co, TN:
KITE, Franklin L., 39, married at 28, b TN, father b TN, mother b VA, an engineer for the RR
KITE, Mary C (Chevis is her middle name, I've found out), 37, married at 21 (?), b TN, f/m b TN
KITE, Emily, daughter, 11, b TN, f/m b TN
CHITWOOD, H.M., step-son, 14, b TN, f b KY, m b TN
Is anyone in this forum working on this line? I'd like to have some info on Franklin Luther KITE's dates and parents' names for my data, if anyone can help me out.
