Thanks to a Leeds mailing list and a very nice lady named Judith, I now have info on Joseph Kitching from the 1851 census. Joseph 46, born Ipswich Suffolk, wife: Sarah Marsden 46,born Prestbury, Chesire, children: Marai 19, Emily 17, Lydia 14, Broster 12, Priscilla 11, Susanna 9, Pennington 7, Walter 5, and Sylvanus 2, all children born in Leeds.
