John, see my message #301 for my search. Interesting that you mentionRobert Kitchens in Miami, originally of GA.
My late father knewa younger cousin Robert Kitchens who was son of Mana Wright Kitchens, my great aunt of Hancock Co GA. They lost touch and I have never met any of the FL family. I'm looking for the ancestry ofthe Wright sisters. Their Ggrandfather was, I believe, Robert M. Wright of Hancock, wife unknown and their father Thomas K. Wright of Hancock, d. in Milledgeville 1879-80, wife Sarah Carlisle. Their son D. Pierce Wright m. Tabitha Butts and had only the two daughters Sarah (Sallie )m. Fuller ) and Mana, who m. Fred Kitchens
They are buried in Reynolds Chapel Cemetery in Hancock Co.
Information on Pierce Wright was hard to find because the family was apparently ashamed that he was committed to and died in the GA State Mental Hospital. His records show that he suffered a deep depression resulting from an intense involvement in the Cicil War(reportedly walked home barefoot from Appomattox), a crop loss, and a case of typhoid fever after the war. A few pills might have helped him today.
Though my father died in 1986, I am the family historian and would be very interested in finding out if your Kitchens are the ones he sought. Fay
