Pamela, thanks. Any information you can provide will be helpful. My maternal grandfather, Edward Kitchen was married to Omega Pearl Erwin. One of my aunts traced the Erwin side of the family back as far as Scotland, 1668. Oddly, she ignored the Kitchen side of the family. All that is known about my grandfather is that he was born in Pittsburg, TX in 1893, and that his father was Anderson Kitchen(s) b. 1851 -- also of Camp Co. All the family knows is that he was married to Belle (maiden name unknown). Anderson may be the son of Wilson Kitchen(s) and Ivy Ann Myers.
Inasmuch as Aunt Beth passed away several years ago, I'm obviously unable to ask why she ignored the Kitchens in her research. The mystery is why is there a dead end at Camp Co., and why the TXGenWeb Project has so little information for Camp Co.
As you may be able to tell, I'm new to the whole genealogy world, so any hints will be greatly appreciated.
Larry
