Hi: I am a Kitchen descendant from the Caswell Co., NC Kitchen family. I have two Kitchen ancestors who came to Missouri from Caswell Co., NC. They were John Kitchen who married Elizabeth Montgomery and Moses Kitchen who married Mary Stephens. John and Moses were brothers. They were brothers to Joseph Kitchen. John and Moses settled in Chariton and Randolph County, Missouri. They are counties next to Macon County, MO. I am a direct descendant of both John and Moses Kitchen from my mother's side of the family.
I have not worked on this surname for many years, but maybe the above information will be of some help to you.
