Does anyone know who the John Kiser below is? Francis E. Shilds first marriage was to Joseph Copeland in Grayson Co, TX. Her parents are Wm. B. Shields and Malinda Penland.

1880 census, Delta Co, TX, Pct 4, Dist 21, p 25: John Kiser, 77 (1803), farmer, Arkansas, parents place of birth is not filled in; Francis E. Kiser (my ggg aunt), wife, 34 (1846), TN-MD-NC; William Copeland, step-son, 7, TX-TN-TN; Annie Copeland, step-daughter, 4, TX-TN-TN; Joe O. (Olie/Alie) Kiser, son, 10/12, (10 months old), TX-AR-TN. Their marriage certificate was translated as John Huzzer married Frances E. Cakeland in Palo Pinto 13 Jul 1878.

I don't know if the census age for John is correct, 77 years old and Francis only 34.

1900 census, Palo Pinto Co, TX, JP 5, Dist 123, 4 June, p. 6: Francis E. Kiser, head, Dec 1844, 55, widow, 5 children/ 3 living (Wm, Annie, Olie), TN-TN-VA; Ollie Kiser, son, July 1879, 20, TX-TN-TN, farm laborer.

Ollie died in 1954 and is buried in Elmwood Cem, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co, TX. I don't believe he ever married. Any help with the John Kisor above will be much appreciated. Thank you, griggs.mary@att.net
