Seeking info on Bernhardt KISMER/KISSNER, alias Bernhard KESSEN (also KASSON) who died at the Northwest Branch of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Wauwatosa, nr Milwaukee, in 1899.

He was injured (index finger of right hand shot off) in the Civil War and received an invalid pension.

He was married to Johanna SCHUH EHLINGER after his return from the War. Am specifically looking for information on her. Her death is unconfirmed, apparently abt June 1879.

There were two children from an earlier marriage, Frank KESSEN?, b 1855 and Eliza KESSEN?, b 1859, as noted in 1870 census. Both were alive in 1898, according to pension records.

Help eagerly welcomed!
