The brief details are taken from a book of payments to Officers which I believe dates between 1638 and 1640 in the Army against the Scots.
The date parameter is based upon the ranks of other Officers in the document.
They were indeed from Somerset and both fought in the Royalist Army in the Civil War.Posthumous dying at Marston Moor in 1644.He was instrumental in winning the battle of Adwalton Moor
Theodore was Sargeant Major to Duke of Yorks Regiment of Foot.
Another Brother James Kirton was captured at Farrington Gurney in August 1644.He was a Captain in Colonel Edward Bisse Foot Regiment.
