Hi Sarah.

Must be a difficult time for you.

I descend from Soloman's sister Caroline's illeg dau Amelia KIRTON/ KEARTON 1847- 1919, who m George DUFFIN 1836- 1924. Caro later m Henry TUGG(E)Y.

Sol & Caro's pars were William 1797- 1879 & Rachel nee HUNT 1801- 1864. I also descend from Wiiliam's bro John abt 1815- 1887, and his 3rd (and much younger!) wife Mary WOODLEY 1854- 1924. My great grandparents were KIRTON 1st cousins twice removed, but my grandmother was illeg., so was a DUFFIN.

Wm & John's pars were William 1770- 1847 & Sarah nee WOODESON 1771- 1850. 2 of William's sibs m 2 of Sarah's sibs (neat!).

I can go back 6 more gens to John KYRTEN who m Alice BURTON (dau of Griffin) in 1567 in Bradfield, and had children chr in nearby Burghfield. 2 of their descendants became rich sugar plantation (and hence slave) owners in Barbados, where there is still a place called Kirtons, but our lot were the poor relations, who moved to Tilehurst late 1640s.

How does your line go down, from William & Sarah Ann nee RICKETTS, and do you have their death dates and their children's details please? Many thanks.
