Hi there everyone!
I hope your searches are going well. I posted a message back in 2002 and got some results from another forum member who shared info from an 1881 UK Census. Thank you again Dale. I want to post this info again and see what happens.
My Great Grandfather was William Kirton B: 1837 in Bedule, York, England. He married Catherine Coupees B: 1842 Newcastle, Northumberland, England. They had five daughters and two sons:
William Alfred
Kate A.
Minnie R. who, incidently was an opera singer of some note. She sang at Covent Garden and studied at the Royal Academy. She also taught music at Southend.
Florence
Nellie
Herbert (my grandfather) who was sent to Canada (Manitoba? then Saskatchewan) because of very bad Asthma.

Louise.
Gee it would be great to hear from someone from this line.
