Hi Mary,

YES these are my Kirkwoods. I don't have my chart to hand at the moment but your Archibald is a brother to my ancestor...(I think he was called James) but I will check at the weekend and let you know. I have a fair bit of info on them but very little any further back. Perhaps we can compare notes.
I am not sure if the family I have listed in my post is connected to our branch or not but the names seem to tie up so I have kept it in mind. I found them recently when I printed out all the kirkwood households in the Rutherglen census's to see if I could trace the ones connected to mine and how they moved through the years. It was very interesting.

Do you prefer me to email you with any info?
