Hi, I sent a "my bad" message the next day, but I sent it to another relative on another site.Oops.I only remembered four kids by Amanda Spivey, but later I found the settlement of the Amanda Spivey Kirkpatrick will and it did list all six.I don't remember Uncle Parm or Uncle Ed.They died before I was born.I do remember the others.I do find some sources calling Uncle Parm as "Palmer", but the family all say it was "Parmer", so it would be Henry Parmer Kirkpatrick in 1884.You are right about Grandpa (Fred's) birthday.Maude was 1902 & he was 1905.I don't know what I was thinking when I said different than that.Sorry.I've never heard of Charlie.I knew the Christians lost an infant son, I didn't know the Kirkpatricks did.My aunt mostly went by "Katie", but some called her "Katherine", and probably "Kat", as well.I didn't realize you were one of the Bybee bunch.I'm sure I've known you all my life. You must be Martha or Lucy's daughter, right?I've heard Grandpa, Uncle Toliver, and Mom all say their generation was only ALL together the one time, there was always someone not there on other occasions. They were all very grateful to have the picture. I was thinking that Uncle Toliver was "Armstead Toliver", but I knew he wasn't a Junior, so I couldn't get that one to work out right in my head...but I do believe you are absolutely correct that he is Audrey Toliver, and that's how I got so mixed up. I've had an interest off and on through the years.I had to plot my family tree in middle school, and that got me interested.I continue to learn more all the time.My Mom remembers Martha Christian Kirkpatrick well, she lived a long time and lived with Uncle Toliver and Aunt Mallie; right next to Granny and Grandpa.Mom spent a lot of time with her when Mom was young.Mom and Aunt Mallie both told me that Martha came to tend the young Kirkpatricks, and ended up marrying Mr. Kirkpatrick.I don't think that kind of thing was uncommon. My Mom has pics of Martha. She made me a copy, but I'm not sure where it is right now.I don't know that she has a picture of Armstead K., but I think Uncle Toliver might have. I have been able to follow the Christians back to the 1500s and I think I have found the early Christians maternal ancestors (Richardsons) in an "early Virginia settlers" website that places them in the Jamestown settlement prior to the Mayflower's arrival.Still looking. The Tennessee geneaology site has some terrific files of lawsuits and legal actions involving the early Kirkpatricks, which is helping me to sort out who is who.My email address is [email protected]; and I look forward to hearing more from you.
