I did come across this not long ago, and I do think it's the family I'm looking for now. The "I." threw me off, It might have been mistaken for "J" for John. Jane was his wifes middle name, and Louella was a daughter born in 1871. I have also come across a John F. kirkpatrick.
My Grandmother wrote in a family bible John A. Kirkpatrick.
Do you have any ancestry from Ford County, or Kirkpatrick? I would love to find stories linked to this family or Ford County!...I do have a little from my grandmother. and Thankyou, Abbey.
