William Moore Kirkpatrick (1800s)

I can't seem to find anything about my line in this forum! The earliest ancestor I know of is William Moore Kirkpatrick (born early 1800s?). His son was Alvin Howard Kirkpatrick (born c. 1846), who I think was the father of Floyd Warren Kirkpatrick (if I haven't skipped a generation). Floyd's son was Howard Floyd Kirkpatrick, who was my grandfather.

I am trying to continue the genealogical research of my great-aunt. I have later documentation about the origin of the surname Kirkpatricks and whatnot, but I am having trouble making any connection between that and William Moore Kirkpatrick. Please let me know if you have his parents names, etc.
