It's a Very small world!I would be interested in what you have gathered for the earliest Kirkpatricks.I'm a bit stuck.I know my 4th grgrandfather was John who was supposedly from Chester Co PA to VA/KY and died in Ohio in 1820s.His father was either Alexander or Andrew.
Everyone migrated out of KY after the civil war.My great grandfather John A. Kirkpatrick [named after which A?] died in Kelso KS and his brother Clifton married the widow Clara and they ended up in Yoakum TX near Gonzales.
I have the photos of James Roger Kirkpatrick and Ida Fly as well as their daughters Bea and Ida.The Indian heritage really shines in the children's photograph.Such beauties! I also have photos I took of Ida's gravestone in Natchez She died in childbirth.I also have the Fly cemetery in TN which I stumbled upon a few years ago. It's of the earliest ancestors.I have yet to find out what happened to James Roger.
I'm a 6th generation Texan now living in Oregon.Judith
