Hi Steve,
I saw your post from 2000.Hope you are still searching.
My Greatgrandmother was Isabella Kirkpatrick.I believe she may have originated from Balleycastle in Northern Ireland. She was born 1872.She migrated to USA NY at age 19.Family stories tell that she came here as a governess for the Stuart Family.Family stories tell that the Stuarts were direct cousins.
Isabella (Bella) was introduced to a friend of the family, William Monroe,(after migrating to the USA) also from Northern Ireland. They married in Camden, NJ and moved to Philadelphia, Pa.
Children of this marriage:
Elizabethb. 1892
Williamb. 1895
Isabellab. 1896
Georgeb. 1898
Sarahb. 1900
Both Isabella Kirkpatrick and William Monroe have Scottish roots.
I have not been able to trace any information on either Isabella or William in Europe.
I hope we can make a connection and can exchange information.I have alot of info from Isabella & William until the present.
ThanksElizabeth
