Hi Wally,Thanks for your reply!
The information I have is as follows -
Many years ago I was given a copy of a Kirkpatrick pedigree from the Public Record Office of Ireland and it states that John Kirkpatrick of Carnsampson, Ballycastle B1740.D1806 married Jane Kirkpatrick dau. of James Kirkpatrick of Kinflay, Antirm and Mary. They had at least three children Isobella D1856, Mary D1837 and James Kirkpatrick of Carnsampson, Ballycastle who married Jane Gray B1795 D1825.
This couple had the following children - William, Charles married Jane Fulton, 3 died young (James, Mary Jane and John), Anne married Hugh Mc Neill, Jane married Rev. Thomas Craig, Alexander (died Australia, unmarried) and Grace who married ? Black. The names of the 3 children who died young are on a headstone in the Old Ramoan Cemetery.A copy of this stone was sent to a friend by Stephen Kirkpatrick (see forum) and mentions Jane, wife of James and the 3 children.
Perhaps James who married Jane Gray may have had a brother who was your ancestor.I don't have any details of other brothers or sisters, only Isobella and Mary.
I don't know if any of this is of any help to you but will be interested to hear your reply.
Regards, Marj.
