I am trying to find John Kirkman born around 1827 married to Sarah Catherine Bennington born around 1824 parents. I have had no luck. John and Catherine were married in Indiana and lived their life in Iowa; mostly Monroe Co, Iowa. The censuses said he was born in North Carolina, South Carolina and Indiana and she was either born in Ohio or Indiana. There also was a George Kirkman living close to them in Monroe Iowa that was just a couple of years different in years from him. Their children were Amelia Jane; Maria; Mariam; Samuel; Sarah Ann; Freelove; William; Hannah Samantha; Joseph and Wesley. Any help would be appreciated.
