Looking for ancestry on Aaron KIRKLIN. He was born about 1851 - 1852 in Alabama.
In 1860 Barbour Co. AL, he is 11 years old, living in the household of Daniel BASS who is his half brother. His name is spelled "KIRKLAND" in that particular census.

In 1880 he is found in Bossier parish , Louisiana as Aaron KIRKLIN. (He moved to LA in 1871). He is married to Mary J. (Mary Jane Hanks.) His children are Emily L., James R. ("Jim" Kirklin), and Aaron D. (Daniel).

In 1900 he is Aaron W. KIRKLIN. His household is Mary J. (wife) and Children are A. D. (Aaron Daniel), Sarah, Minnie, Evret (William Everett Kirklin), and Jasper. And a boarder named Myrtle Barrow.

I would like to find out who Aaron's Mom & Dad were. Aaron was apparently raised by older half brother Daniel Bass, who after the Civil war also came to Bossier parish, Louisana. (Daniel served in Co. B, 39th AL reg, C.S.A.) Finding out who Aaron's mother was would help me know who Daniel Bass' mother was as well.

Aaron died in 1931. Both he and Daniel Bass are buried in Rocky Mount Presbyterian Cemetery in Bossier Parish, LA..

Aaron had some brothers and sistes back in Alabama. I haven't been able to find anything on them either as far as parents names. His syblings were Martha Kirklin, Maston Kirklin, and Cresie kirklin who married a Cameron. Aaron is said to have made only one trip back to Alabama in 1910 to visit his sister, Cresie Kirklin Cameron.
