Says Roads Not Needed Because Legs Were Made To Walk---Said Creed Earl Kirkland, of Maryville, Route 1. “Let me first thank you for letting me have this opportunity to tell the readers what I think Monroe County needs most.
It is the old-time religion like people used to have. If they had it they would be so busy doing the right thing they wouldn’t have no time for wrong-doings. There would be more men out working, more mothers at home caring for their children and both parents taking their children to church on Sunday. That’s the way I was raised, and it work, brother. It works! To heck with bad roads, our legs were made to walk on anyway.”
