No, I'm no expert on Kirkland genealogy. Some people don't think I know squat about the Kirklands even tho I have been researching the Kirklands & all my other families since 1967. Nency, we are doublely related through the Kirkland & Giles lines. A friend/cousin is also from the Christopher Columbus & Sarah Giles lines. Craig lives in Etowah, TN where 2 of my children live. He is a great guy & has hauled me all over Monroe & Polk Co's to cemeteries of our kinfolk. Craig has bought & installed many tombstones for the forgotten ancestors. If you will go to the bottom of this page & type in Giles, it will probably bring up more than I want to remember in the differences of opinions on poor old Nathan Kirkland. Try put Nathan's name there, You'll find all kind of info. The good, the bad & the ugly. Blessed Be, Jo Ann Giles
