Hi:
I followed the discussion of Amos Kirkendall with interest. He was my great great great grandfather. His wife was Hannah (nee Parlett) Kirdendall. His daughter was Mary Jane Kirkendall Burton (Dec. 10, 1861--Sept. 1, 1924). She was the mother of my great grandfather, Aquilla F. Burton (1879--1967). My grandmother, Viola Burton Pabst (1903--1984), was Amos Kirkendall's great granddaughter. I've heard it said Amos lived into his 80s. Not sure where he is buried, but I suspect being Dutch, he may have been Dutch Reformed in terms of religion.
