No this Thomas Kirk born in US probably va about 1730 he married a Margo Duncan at least that is what is reported settled in Giles Co Va after about 1782 I suspect that he has ties to the culpeper Kirks and I suspect that they connect to northumberland kirks.I am looking at John and Frances Kirk of Va as his parents,John died widow Frances remarried two more times to a William Clift then to George roberts ,known son is the eldest Joseph Kirk he settled in Orange co NC. I suspect that he is the oldest brother ,and that he had brothers Thomas and John who went to Giles Co Va ,this is my working theory. There was a Thomas Kirk as early as 1666 rappahonnock I suspect that he is of this family also somehow.his daughter mary married a Willis and this family seemed to also tie to the Randolph and Henry Kirk family of Northumberland, when Joseph Kirk deceased if essex co dies daughter Mary Willis of Northumberland sells landbelonging to Joseph of essex deceased. So far no evidence of a son ,this Joseph seems to tie to Randolph and Henry kirk of Northumberland they also have ties to the Willis family
