I am trying to find info on my great grandfather, John Thomas Kirk. Born Apr 15, 1862, d Jan 2, 1919, married Josephine Rogers Jan 15 1866 in Warren Co., TN He is buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Coffee County, TN. He and Josie had ten children. His oldest, Cora Elizabeth Kirk, was my grandmother.
According to family lore, John Thomas was orphaned at a very young age due to a house fire and the Kirks adopted him. This might make it harder to find any more info.
Anyone with any knowledge of John Thomas Kirk? Thanks!
