Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
While looking for my Henry Kipp, I came across an 1890 Veterans Schedule, which lists Surviving solders, Sailors, and Marines, and Widows, etc. One of the entries lists Hannah M., Widow of Henry Kipp. This Henry Kipp enlisted in the Union Army on 6 Sep 1864 with Company Batty D, 6th Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery Regiment. He was killed at Fairfax, Virginia on 22 Oct 1864. Is buried at Bethel Cemetery, Lower Burrel Township, Westmoreland Co, Pennsylvania. He is not my Henry Kipp. Maybe yours!
