I have run across the Kipp family name several times while researching my ancestor Willem Jansen Van Borckeloo/Lubberdinck in New York (New Amsterdam). My brother's second wife is Elizabeth Kip, daughter of Kaarn Kip. I believe that this family had a connection with Lippencott and Elephalet Barricklow. (Barricklow is one of the 5 major families desdcended from Willem and Harmen Lubberdinck who changed their name to Van Borckeloo when they immigrated to New Amsterdam in the 1600s. The other names are: Barkalow, Barkuloo, Burklow, Bartlow as well as Van Burkleo) Do you have any of these names in your family file?
