Here is what I have on Fred sr. and Fred jr.

(sr)Frederick KIPER. A Kiper family left Virginia with a wagon train of
settlers for a home in Kentucky. Kiper was killed by Indians as they
crossed the Rappahannock River and was buried where he fell. His wife was
scalped but lived. The story goes that she wore a cap until her dying day
to hide her disfigurement. This Kiper seems to have been Frederick Kiper
and Elizabeth (?). They had at least three sons, Henry, Frederick and
Jacob.
Fred jr. was married to Betsey COLLARD on Sep 30 1802 in Nelson CO., Kentucky. My family book says that they had 10 kids
