My gggrandfather was Nathan Kious, b 1804-1806 in Ohio. He married Susan Dunbar and they had 8 children. My ggrandmother was his daughter Suzanna, b 8-23-1847 in Montgomery Co. IN. She married John Savaree Hoffman in Montgomery Co IN, and then moved to Ringgold Co., IA. John's brother Absolam F. Hoffman married Suzanna's sister Martha (Mattie) Kious.
You also mention the name Waugh. My ggrandfathers 2nd wife was the widow of a Waugh (Mary Ferguson Waugh). Also a nephew of my ggrandfather , John Eddy Hoffman married Clyda Waugh in 1895.
