Eleanor Kinzie Mitchell

This message is in response to John Kinzie. My husband, Taylor Chewning, died in May of 2005 but he was very interested in finding out about his grandmother, Eleanor Kinzie Mitchell. His mother Mary Mitchell Chewning was taken away from her mother and was raised by her paternal aunt. She was very secretive about any information pertaining to her mother. Taylor and I found that she was buried in Savannah and went and visited her grave. I would love any information. What happened to her marriage, why did she loose her children, Mary and Ned, when did she die and of what. We've heard that she had an abortion and died but we also found out that Mary Mitchell Chewning was a fabricator. Taylor's father, E. Taylor Chewning, even had a detective try to find out information back probably in the 1960s but we have the letter that he could find out nothing. So if you could clear up any of this with fact it would be most settling. Taylor died of cancer and was 56 years old. My name is Shawn Chewning or Mrs. Taylor Chewning III. Thank you.
