Gustave A. Kintzel Dies

Was Active in Affairs of Luzerne County Odd Fellows for Many Years

Gustave A. Kintzel,aged 84, died yesterday morning of complications at the home of his son, William J. Kintzel, 211 Bowman Street, East End, with whom he has lived for the last fourteen years. Mr. Kintzel was born in Frankfort, Germany, and came to this country on March 24, 1869, and since then has always lived in Wilkes-Barre. He has been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for more than fifty years and served for many years as secretary of Men's Brotherhood. Deceased was an active member of fraternal circles up to the time of his recent illness having been affiliated with Hoffnung lodge No. 426 J.O.O.F. Hoffnung Rebekah Lodge No. 142, Aurora Encampment No. 130, Shalimer No. 237, of which he was an honorary member.

He leaves the following children, Mrs. Henry Dierolf, William J. and Charles Kintzel; also fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the residence on Friday afternoon at 3. Rev. Louis Lindenstruth, D. D., of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery.
