Regarding Kintzheim, I thought this would be the root of the Kintz's. I visited Kintzheim and discovered that kintz is an archaic form of the word koenig meaning king. Charlimaign (sp?) built a castle behind Kintzheim and the name comes from that fact. There were no people named Kintz in the phone book!
