Hello Mary, I noticed that the spelling you give for your Michael is Kientz and do you know when he was born.I am not completely certain till I do more research but the Michael Kintz(and my branch of the family does seem to always be spelled KINTZ) whom I have a copy of the signature from I believe was the one born in 1732. And he was a Roman Catholic and I know that my ancesters were Roman Catholic though I belive other Kintz families were Protestant. Susan
