I am not researching this family, just entering information from the book "Along the Potomac River, Extracts from the Maryland Gazette, 1728-1799" by Edith Moore Sprouse:

"Port Tobacco. Janet Kinsman, administratix of the late John Kinsman, is going to move to Virginia. She wishes debtors to settle accounts, and keeps a tavern at The Sign of the Ship in Port Tobacco. (7 Jan 1762)"
