I had posted several years ago that I was seeking information on my 3g grandparents, Richard and Hattie (Kinney) Pitner.
Census info varied as far as recording Hattie's place of birth; OH and NJ were both listed, as was PA. Recently, in a History of Ohio Upper Valley, I found her listed as a "native of New Hampshire".
She married Richard Pitner, who was born in MD or NE Ohio, about 1844.
Their children were
George W. Pitner, b. 1847, d. 1903 in Martin's Ferry, OH
Levi H. Pitner, b. 1849 in PA, d. about 1905 in Brooke Co. WV
Hattie Pitner Owens
John Smith Pitner
James W. Pitner
