My next question, of course, is -- what does "warned out of" mean? They were persona non grata so to speak? I have never heard anything about them to indicate they were anything but very nice people. Susannah, I believe, came from a very nice family; her father was Nathaniel Hood of Topsfield, MA. I just checked my FTM file--Israel's great grandfather, Henry, participated in (testified against accused) Salem Witch Trials and is buried in Danvers. The "witches" involved were hanged. Maybe that's what the people of Danvers didn't like. Hmmm? Thanks for the source. I always like to find out these interesting little tidbits about my ancestors.
