The Kinnebrews came from Scotland. Edwin/Edward Kinnebrew b.1814 first lived in Georgia he was married to Mary Parker Nelson. She died, so he married her 1st cousin, Sarah Browning. They are the ones that acquired the plantation in Homer, LA. It started out as 100,000 acres. The Kinnebrew family still lives in Homer, LA and owns part of what was orignally owned. The Kinnebrews were wealthy people. Edward/Edwin offered Alabama & Stonewall the opportunity to be educated in Edinburgh. Only Alabama went. He graduated from the University of Edinburg. The Kinnebrews were tall, sandy blonde with acquiline features and large frame. They were Scottish and English. I have visited the planation and their graves.
