I'm also looking for Thomas McKinlaw and so
are my uncles. We have traced our family tree
back to Oliver Kinlaw (3-24-1834 to 1-12-1902). Two weeks ago we found his tombstone
in the old Kinlaw Cemetery which is in the woods. Since then I have seen in the census from about 1780's Alexander Kinloch living in
Robeson Co. In records from the port at Charleston it lists several Kinloch from Scotland, from one was an Alexander Kinloch
that indicates moved to the other Carolina.
But, I have not made a connection.
