Falmouth, Maine & Sgt James Lane
Posted by: Cathy Nelson (ID *****0610) Date: January 21, 2008 at 12:59:51

I am looking for information on the indian raids at Falmouth, Maine and North Yarmouth, Maine, particularly 1688-1900. King William"s War seems to cover 1689-1697, yet I have some information suggesting that Maine had Indian troubles in the summer of 1688.
Is there any detailed info on the Indian and colonlists in the 1680-1690s?
Supposedly "Sgt. James Lane will killed by Indians at Falmouth, 1688."
thanks--cathy nelson
