Merely putting King William in context. If you don't understand where the James ( Stuarts) came from you won't understand who William of Orange was fighting. The Scottish and English Presbyterians - but not Scottish Episcopalians - were in support of William as James II & VII had tried to make Great Britain a Catholic country. The Revolution of 1688 - 1690 - here called King Williams War followed the deposing of James who reigned from 1685 to 1688. Aye Malcolm Notify Administrator about this message?
