Hi Diana,

I also have an ancestor from Oyster River around that time period but I haven't found any mention anywheres of him fighting in this war. I'm sure he was a member of the militia. Anyhow, here is a website that describes your ancestor being killed:

It has a good description of the events before, during, and after the massacure.

I also found this website with a photo of the Drew Garrison House:
