I wonder if there are any lists on-line preferable, but anywhere ultimately, which list the names of the captains and the names of ships from New York acting as "private vessels of War" during King George's War? I am looking for John Eason, who, according to his will, was a privateer, who sailed out in 1747 and, perhaps, never returned.
